PTA Retreat #2

Hi All! We had another great retreat on Tuesday. Both Ms. Russo and Ms. Eckert were able to join us and give us an update about this upcoming year. Ms. Russo spoke about the importance of the partnership between the school and the PTA, and her excitement about our commitment to communication and equity.

The board decided that the first priority this year is tackling a major equity issue and starting a school-wide snack program. Karen West is spearheading this effort, but will need a lot of help. The first couple of months will be a scramble to deliver on our promise, so if you have any time to commit to this effort please let either me know. My info is in the “who we are” tab.

Many dates were set- PTA board meetings (open to anyone to attend) will be on the 3rd Wednesdays of every month, the first meeting is September 20th. I will forward notes from the meeting to the list serve as soon as they are available. If you aren’t on the list serve that means you aren’t a PTA member yet! Join today!
